Description
Viol‑Secours, the Québec City CALACS, offers support groups designed for women and adolescents who have experienced sexual violence, as well as for their loved ones. These confidential, facilitator-led group sessions aim to break isolation, foster mutual support, and empower participants through sharing and validation of their emotions and through reflection on social mechanisms of sexual violence. The groups generally run over several sessions and create a safe space to process, rebuild self-esteem, and regain agency. In addition, Viol-Secours offers individual follow‑up, 24/7 telephone support, and assistance during medico-legal and judicial processes, ensuring participants have access to both peer support and professional accompaniment.
