Description
Here to Help is a group program that provides a safe and supportive environment for youth 4 to 16 years of age and their mothers who have been exposed to domestic violence. The overarching objective is for youth and their mothers to recuperate from experiences of domestic violence. Children are provided the opportunity to talk about their experiences with each other in a support group setting. In addition, women are provided individualized support aimed at instilling developmentally appropriate parenting skills and strategies after having left an abusive relationship or currently experiencing post-separation abuse.
