St. Mary’s Home offers a comprehensive child and youth development program as part of its Young Parent Outreach Centre, designed specifically for pregnant and parenting youth up to age 29 with children under six. This program blends individualized support with structured group sessions, including prenatal education, the SafeCare in-home training program, parenting workshops for both young mothers and fathers, breastfeeding and baby wellness clinics, cooking and life-skills classes, adult high school achievement, and limited childcare during program activities. This initiative emphasizes healthy child development, personal growth, trauma-informed care, and system navigation, all tailored to increase resilience, independence, and well-being among young families.
