As part of the PAQG Defender of the Year tour, the PAQG, the Collectif 8 Tijax and the Claire-Bonenfant Chair – Women, Knowledge and Society of Laval University will hold a round table on October 24 from 1:30 p.m. at 3:30 p.m. at Laval University, in hybrid format. This round table entitled “Access to justice for women here and elsewhere: intersectional issues and strategies” will bring together Maria Peña (Guatemalan human rights defender), Emilia Castro (member of the World March of Women), Marie France Labrecque (professor emeritus in the department of anthropology at Laval University) and Catherine Rossi (professor at the school of social work and criminology at Laval University). From their diverse experiences and expertise, the panelists will discuss the issues, challenges, but also the levers linked to access to justice in an intersectional approach. The round table will be followed by a period of discussion with the public which will allow for deeper reflections.
