Description
Legal Assistance of Windsor’s project offers confidential, trauma-informed legal and social work support to survivors of gender-based violence and sexual assault. Participants receive independent legal advice and advocacy in areas such as family and criminal law, alongside a social worker who conducts risk assessments, helps develop safety plans, provides supportive counselling, and assists with navigating social services. The project also delivers public legal education for survivors and service providers, while offering legal info sessions on broader obligations and responsibilities. Accessible to people of all genders and income levels, this program aims to fill service gaps in collaboration with justice agencies and community partners.
