AVA is excited to announce the upcoming Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (EDIA) Champions Panel, the first in a new bimonthly series exploring key issues surrounding gender-based violence, trauma, equity, and inclusion. This session will bring together EDIA leaders and community voices to share insights, experiences, and strategies for building inclusive and equitable spaces across sectors.

Meet the panelists:
Dr. Marlynn Bennett (Ikwe (woman)/ She/Her/ Niin (me)) is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Social Work and Werklund School of Education, and the Canada Research Chair (Tier II) in Indigenous Children’s Well-being at the University of Calgary. She also serves as a Sessional Instructor in the Faculty of Social Work at the University of Calgary.
Carla Bertsch (She/Her) is a sessional Instructor in the Faculty of Social Work at the University of Calgary.
Alexander Cuncannon (He/They) is a PhD Student (BN, RN) and Graduate Assistant in the Faculty of Nursing and Owerko Centre at the University of Calgary.
Dr. Aliyah Dosani (She/Her) is a Professor in the School of Nursing & Midwifery within the Faculty of Health, Community & Education at Mount Royal University.
Jackie Gruber (She/Her) is the Director of Professionalism in the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Manitoba.
Stefan Kurbatfinski (He/Him) is a Doctoral Student in Community Health Sciences at the University of Calgary.
