YW Calgary has partnered with AVA and is seeking an intern for ShelterLink!
This project seeks to build a collaborative System of Care between women’s shelters, emergency service providers, and community organizations. This System of Care will ensure that those who need shelter get a space, and those whose risk can be managed in the community are cared for as well. An accurate assessment of an individuals’ risk to imminent harm is key in the success of the System of Care. Therefore, we are seeking to develop an imminent risk assessment tool.
As the ShelterLink Intern, you will be responsible for completing a systematic literature review that will identify and examine validated measures of imminent risk and offer recommendations for interview questions and process to consider for inclusion in the newly developed and utilized ShelterLink Assessment Tool. For this internship, YW Calgary has partnered with Alliance against Violence Adversity (AVA), where you will receive mentorship and guidance from AVA’s Scientific Director. We are seeking a motivated, organized, results-oriented individual to join this project.
This position is a temporary contract for a current or returning student. Detailed working hours and schedule can be negotiable. This position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement.
